Trust built one conversation at a time
The trust clients place in a therapist is deeply personal. We share public feedback only when it has been independently posted or explicitly authorized.
I wanted to let my therapist know that I recently got accepted into college, and I wanted to thank her because I would not have been able to do it without her. I appreciate everything she has done for me, and I couldn’t be more grateful for having her in my life. After a really hard year, I thought all hope was lost — but she came into my life and helped pull me out of it. She was always there for me, and she was the one who gave me back the motivation to get through the rest of high school and accomplish this. Thank you so much for being in my life, and for never giving up on me, and for having both faith and hope in me — because that’s the reason why I was able to get where I am today.
Messages clients have sent us
With explicit permission, a few clients have allowed us to share messages they sent us directly — never posted publicly, never identifying details beyond a first name.
My wife and I put off couples therapy for years because we were embarrassed. This was the opposite of what we expected — no judgment, just practical help communicating again. We actually look forward to our sessions now.
I want to say thank you for genuinely changing my life. I came in barely able to get through the day, and now I actually recognize myself again. You never made me feel like a diagnosis — just a person going through something hard who deserved real support. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to fully put into words how much that meant to me.
We were at a breaking point as a family, and honestly none of us wanted to be in that first session. A few months later, we actually talk to each other now instead of just yelling past each other. Our kids feel safe bringing things up instead of hiding them. We are so grateful we finally made the call.
My son used to have meltdowns almost every day and I felt like I was failing him. Watching him learn to name his feelings instead of just exploding has been life changing for our whole house. He asks to go to his sessions now, which still amazes me. Thank you for meeting him exactly where he was.
I carried something for almost ten years that I never told anyone about. EMDR sounded strange to me at first, honestly, but I trusted the process because I trusted my therapist. I still remember the session where it finally felt like the memory lost its grip on me. I am not the same person I was a year ago, in the best way.
For years I thought feeling exhausted and anxious all the time was just who I was. I finally have language for what I was experiencing, and actual tools that work instead of just "trying to think positive." Some days are still hard, but I finally believe they will not always feel this way.
I spent my whole life being told I just needed to try harder. This was the first time someone helped me build systems that actually work with how my brain works instead of against it. I finally finished something I started, and it made me emotional in a way I did not expect.
I came in stuck in patterns I could see but could not seem to change on my own. Having someone help me break things down into small, doable steps made all the difference. I feel like I actually have control over my choices now instead of just reacting to everything.
I was nervous that therapy would ask me to set my faith aside, and it was the opposite. Being able to bring my beliefs into the room instead of feeling like I had to leave part of myself at the door made healing feel possible instead of like a compromise.
Between work travel and two kids, there was no way I could have made in-person appointments work. Being able to do sessions from home meant I actually stuck with it instead of letting my schedule become an excuse. It has genuinely made therapy possible for me at this point in my life.
I almost cancelled my first appointment three times. I am so glad I didn’t. Having a space that was entirely mine, with no one else’s feelings to manage, changed how I understand myself. I finally feel like I am working with my life instead of just surviving it.
My daughter went from refusing to talk to us at all to actually telling us how her day was. I know that sounds small, but it is everything. Having someone she trusts to talk to, outside of us as her parents, has made all the difference this year.
